Yellow Card Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Chris Maurice has been named among the world’s most influential figures shaping the global stablecoin ecosystem after earning a place on Stablecon’s Stablecoins Most Influential 2026 list.
The recognition places Maurice alongside prominent leaders in global finance and technology who are driving innovation, adoption and policy discussions around stablecoins and the broader digital finance industry.
Stablecon, a leading global event and media platform focused on the stablecoin ecosystem, publishes its annual Stablecoins Most Influential list to recognise individuals making a significant contribution to the sector. The list spans six regions and multiple categories, including stablecoin issuers, technology builders and policymakers.
Its selection process is based on a five-factor framework that evaluates influence, impact, innovation, momentum and peer recognition, providing a benchmark for leadership and contribution within the fast-growing industry.
Maurice joins a distinguished 2026 cohort that includes Emilie Choi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Coinbase; Patrick Collison, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stripe; Charles Cascarilla, Co-Founder and CEO of Paxos; and Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of BlackRock.
The recognition further highlights Maurice’s growing influence as an advocate for stablecoin adoption and digital financial innovation, particularly across emerging markets.
Through his work at Yellow Card, Maurice has championed the use of stablecoins to improve cross-border financial connectivity and provide businesses with access to digital financial infrastructure. He has delivered keynote addresses at international conferences attended by heads of state and engaged with ministers and financial regulators on the future of digital finance.
Maurice was also named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023, while his work and insights have received international coverage from leading media outlets including CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg, Forbes and Business Insider.
Reflecting on his inclusion in the Stablecon list, Maurice said the recognition represents a validation of the company’s early decision to invest in the stablecoin industry.
“Many years ago, we took a bet on Stablecoins when few people could see what the future of finance would look like,” said Maurice, Co-Founder and CEO of Yellow Card.
“Today, being celebrated among the leaders of this industry tells me that bet is paying off. Conviction is the only currency that matters before the world catches up to you.”
Yellow Card has continued to expand under Maurice’s leadership, facilitating more than $7.5 billion in transactions over the past 12 months. The company has also broadened its presence across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and North America.
The company has attracted investment from leading players in the digital asset sector, including Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and Coinbase Ventures. It has also established strategic partnerships with global payments and technology companies, including Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
Yellow Card’s growth and innovation have earned the company several industry accolades. In 2025, it won the Grand Prix in the Payments category at the Money20/20 USA Awards. The company was also named to the inaugural Fortune Crypto Innovators list in 2026.
Maurice’s recognition comes as stablecoins continue to attract growing attention as a potential tool for cross-border payments, business transactions and financial connectivity. His inclusion on the Stablecon list underscores his contribution to a sector that is increasingly influencing the future of global digital finance.
Through Yellow Card, Maurice remains focused on expanding stablecoin infrastructure and enabling businesses to connect more efficiently across international markets, positioning the company at the intersection of digital assets, payments and global commerce.
