GoGreen Plus Base, among the first solutions of its type, delivers a default 10% emissions reduction at a fixed flat rate

  • GoGreen Plus Base is fully scalable and available to customers of all sizes
  • The enhancement of the GoGreen Plus portfolio to three distinct options highlights DHL Group’s commitment to driving sustainability across global logistics operations

DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist of DHL Group, today announces the launch of its new GoGreen Plus Portfolio, an offering of three decarbonization products to make low-emission logistics easier and more accessible for customers worldwide.

In an industry first, the new GoGreen Plus Base product delivers a default 10% emissions reduction for all eligible shipments at a fixed flat rate. This provides customers with verified emission reductions without any additional charges beyond the standard rate.

GoGreen Plus Portfolio overview:

  • GoGreen Plus Base – default 10% emissions reduction through book & claim solutions, fixed
    flat rate, opt-out model
  • GoGreen Plus Premium – 85% emissions reduction through book & claim solutions, priced
    at lane level
  • GoGreen Plus Select – tailored decarbonization solutions with flexible emissions reduction levels for large GoGreen Plus customers, customized to individual supply chains.

With GoGreen Plus Base, DHL offers a scalable solution that applies one fixed price across markets, shipment types, and routes, independent of origin or destination. “You don’t need to invest millions to make a difference.

Any business can start small, with just a few extra Euros per shipment and without additional effort.

This is a major step forward toward enabling more sustainable supply chains at scale,” says Kathrin Brost, Vice President Global Head of GoGreen Program at DHL Global Forwarding.
GoGreen Plus Base, Premium, and Select are based on true value chain decarbonization.

This is enabled by the ‘book & claim’ approach. Book & claim enables DHL to directly replace fossil fuels with sustainable fuels within the logistic company’s network and allocate environmental benefits to paying customers, even when their shipments are not physically transported with the assets using these fuels

The enhancement of the GoGreen Plus portfolio comes at a time when demand for reliable emission-reducing services continues to rise.

The GoGreen Plus Portfolio reflects the Group’s continued commitment to helping customers decarbonize their supply chains through transparent, credible in setting solutions.

“We are proud to introduce solutions that truly change what customers can expect from emission-reduced logistics,” says Amanda Rasmussen, Chief Commercial Officer at DHL Global Forwarding.
The GoGreen Plus Portfolio supports DHL Group’s overarching sustainability roadmap, including its target of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and its interim goal of using 30% sustainable fuels by 2030.

With this portfolio update, DHL accelerates the availability of emission-reduced logistics and more sustainable alternatives for all customers.
