enya will host the inaugural GITEX Kenya 2026 in Nairobi from 19th to 21st May, marking a major milestone in the country’s emergence as a regional hub for digital innovation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity development.
The event is expected to bring together global technology leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders at a time when East Africa’s digital economy is expanding rapidly and becoming increasingly interconnected.
Among the participating organisations is Censys, which together with its partner EVAD will showcase its SOC Modernization platform. The solution focuses on strengthening visibility across organisations’ digital environments as cloud computing, artificial intelligence and connected services continue to scale.
The platform is designed to help security teams continuously discover and monitor their external attack surface. It provides a clearer view of internet-facing assets such as systems, applications, services and other exposed digital infrastructure that could be targeted by attackers.
It also enriches security alerts with real-time threat intelligence and supports faster detection and response through internet-wide visibility and historical data. The approach is aimed at reducing blind spots created by rapidly expanding digital ecosystems.
Kenya’s digital transformation is being shaped by the Kenya Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025–2030, which positions the country as a regional leader in AI development while emphasising the need for secure, trusted and resilient digital infrastructure.
As organisations adopt AI tools, cloud platforms and digital services, cybersecurity challenges are becoming more complex. Many enterprises are struggling to maintain visibility across expanding environments, creating risks that can affect trust, compliance and operational continuity.
These risks are increasingly being viewed not just as technical issues, but as business-critical concerns that influence growth and competitiveness in the digital economy.
“GITEX KENYA offers a very significant platform to connect with our customers and partners who are building the future digital economy of East Africa,” said Meriam ElOuazzani, Vice President, Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Censys.
“As organisations across the region rapidly adopt artificial intelligence and implement digital transformation, cybersecurity visibility and resilience become increasingly critical. Censys’ presence with EVAD reflects this need.”
At the event, visitors will be able to experience live demonstrations of the platform, engage with cybersecurity experts, and explore practical approaches to improving asset discovery, threat detection and cyber risk management.
